The “Little Deuce Coupe” project was a car we built for SEMA. Ford was having the Beach boys perform at its evening Gala this year, and the question arose whether we could build a “Little Deuce Coupe” to be on stage with the Beach Boys, especially because they were going to sing that song. When the Beach boys came out, they signed the dashboard to commemorate the event, and Mike Love signed “Love, Mike Love…The Beach boys”.
The car was completed with the help of many of our friends, and the next morning, a buyer stepped up and purchased it. It went to California for photo layouts by Rod & Custom (Primedia) and Street Rod Builder (Buckaroo) the following week.

Also built for the SEMA show, our blue convertible in Ford Motor Company’s exhibit this year was a special project that was created to showcase both our convertible body and Ford’s 4.6 liter, 32-valve Cobra power plant. The car was constructed on a one-off set of mirror-polished stamped stainless steel rails, and the entire chassis was then built from polished stainless steel material. All the chassis and mechanical work was completed by Hot Rods & Horsepower and the chassis then shipped to Detroit where ASC (American Specialty Cars) completed the body and leather interior. The dark blue paint is a custom mix.
